A charming pair of early 19th century English armchairs with original paint decoration. The chairs feature neoclassical floral motifs in soft, aged tones along the splat, crest rail, and tapered legs. Shaped arms and pierced backs frame upholstered seats in a neutral damask, complementing the delicately worn painted finish. Fine carved detail is especially evident in the close-up of the front legs.
