About the Item
Country French provincial or Louis XV style pair of painted fauteuil armchairs. The set features a generous seating area with a vintage butter colored velvet upholstery. The frames have a large square back with molded arms and a serpentine seat apron decorated with rosettes. Supported by graceful cabriole legs ending with scrolled feet conjoined by X form stretchers. The lacquered cream finish has an intentionally aged patina with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Velvet upholstery is faded and worn.
