A Pair of Large Italian Carved Walnut and Parcel-Gilt Armchairs, 19th Century
Description:
The backrest and seat of each armchair upholstered in red chenille with a brass nail head trim, featuring a gently slanted square back surmounted by a pair of parcel-gilt gesso foliate finials to either end, descending to overturned scroll arms joined to turned leg passing through square seat, two turned chambraces to the front, the legs united by turned H-stretcher.
