About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely pair of restored Victorian wingback armchairs with claw and ball feet
A very good looking and well-made pair, they were fully restored a few years ago along with a pair of sofas that are listed under my other items. The restoration was that the chairs were stripped back to the frame, they were then rebuilt, the seat platform has midcentury long metal springs with hessian padding and a foam cushion. The leather upholstery is heritage fully aniline leather which is natural cattle hide so shows the patina nicely
The chairs will only look like this for a few weeks, they are due for recolouring which means they will be hand dyed a lovely whisky brown colour, the seat cushions will have a feather filled padding

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
