Pair of Louis XV Style Italian Giltwood Fauteuils with Floral Upholstery
Mid/Late 20th Century
A decorative pair of vintage Italian giltwood fauteuils in the Louis XV style. Each chair is carved with scrolling foliate and rocaille motifs, finished in bright gilt and upholstered in a floral patterned fabric. The shaped backs, scrolled arms, and cabriole legs capture the Rococo aesthetic in a bold decorative manner typical of Italian work of the period.
