Pair of carved French Louis XIII style Fauteuils or armchairs, with gracefully scrolled arms, high backs and generous seats (and seat heights of 20”) resulting in uncommon comfort.
The lower apron was pierce-carved in a stylized anthemion theme, contrasting with the turned stretchers and scrolled French feet. The chairs are upholstered in a medium burgundy velvet with tassel trim for an opulent touch.
