About the Item
A matching pair of good quality 1970s armchairs.
Sculptural and almost brutalist in design with neat flush joined exposed oak frames.
Extremely comfortable with generous seats upholstered in the original purple woven fabric.
Unsigned but reminiscent of the California group and in particular Lou Hodges' designs.
Probably dating to the mid-late 20th century period, circa 1970s.
They are in great vintage condition. The joints in the frames are all solid, there is no particular damage to point out and only minimal wear commensurate with age.
Approximate measurements each 60cm wide x 64cm deep x 74cm high. The seat height is roughly 44cm.
