About the Item

The armchair J. Lang, designed in 1987 by Philippe Starck for Driade Aleph, is a striking, sculptural piece of furniture with a strong iconic character. The generously dimensioned seat conveys comfort, while the clear geometric basic form gives the armchair a calm, almost architectural presence. The frame is made of cast aluminum and steel, covered with black leather. Signed “Aleph by STARCK” on the underside of the aluminum base. As an object, the J. Lang appears less restrained than deliberately staged—a piece of furniture that not only wants to be used but also admired, and which significantly shapes the room with its strong form.

The sofa mod. Sinbad by Vico Magistretti has a throw blanket in leather that extends far over the backrest . Base in black lacquered wood. In all the sofa is in excellent condition. This was one of the sofas that Vico Magistretti appreciated the most and that he also had privately in his Milan apartment. His idea was to design a piece of seating furniture in which the fabric did not conform to the given shape. When he designed it, he was thinking more of an English horse blanket that you throw over...
