About the Item
The designer presents the limited edition of the Pietra – VIVA armchair, featuring an organic and fluid design inspired by river stones and upholstered with a Knit fabric made from an exclusive and unprecedented 3D pattern.
The Knit fabric is crafted from raw material derived from bottles manually collected within 50 km of ocean coastlines, in areas without formal waste collection or recycling systems. Each square meter of the fabric repurposes approximately 41 bottles recovered from nature.
The result is a fabric with a soft, refined touch and excellent abrasion resistance. Due to its high porosity, the health of the foam padding is preserved for a longer time, allowing for better airflow, which helps prevent the proliferation of bacteria and dust mites.
The finishing touch of the piece features a slim, decorative metal armrest, accented with hand-woven leather cords—a sophisticated detail that enhances and celebrates its flowing form.
PIETRA VIVA Limited Series:
An expression of life, renewal, and sustainability. Each armchair upholstered with the Knit fabric includes an informative tag, individually numbered, certifying the fiber's recycling process and traceability.
