About the Item

Designed for the iconic Royalton Hotel in New York commissioned by Ian Schrager to Philippe Starck in the 1980s, the Len Niggelman armchair is a mix of chic and radicality. Starck says that it is a Ruhlmann in Cow-boy boots emphasizing the fact that it's an encounter between a designer from old Europe and a project in modern America. The piece was later produced in Europe by Spanish firm Disform, our pair was reupholstered in a blue velvet similar to the ones that were at the Royalton. These chairs are particularly comfortable and can suit pretty much any style of decoration, they are Art Deco with a twist. They can be reupholstered in any color or type of fabric depending on the client's wish.
