Chair #733 by Dirk van Sliedregt for Gebroeders Jonkers, Noordwolde, The Netherlands, before 1966.
Solid wengé frame with smoked wicker seats.
These chairs were handmade in a rural factory 'Gebroeders Jonkers'
est. 1927.
Just after the second W.W. attracted a designer from the 'Amsterdam Institute for Industrial Design' for the New Era.
This was designer Dirk van Sliedregt who started to work for Gebroeders (Bros) Jonkers early 1950's.
One of his first designs, the adjustable wicker armchair model #514 (also in our collection) was on display and awarded on the 'Triennale in Milan' in 1954.
this set offered is in good condition. Firm frames with good smoked wicker shells. Some minor restaurations to the wicker. Ready to be used.
One chair is hard to find. A set in this condition rare. A second set in this condition, not to be found on the internet.
