About the Item
A handmade, upcycled chair crafted on a tubular iron frame, with the seat and back made from hundreds of bottle caps woven or wired together. The caps include common soda brands, along with domed caps featuring French labels. The piece was likely created by a French furniture artist working with recycled materials.
The chair recalls the spirit of BRC Designs’ “Capped Out Chair,” but it could also draw inspiration from artists in South America or Africa who often work with reclaimed objects. Its aesthetic is uniquely vibrant and colorful, and the chair is surprisingly comfortable. It shows some rust consistent with age, but remains very stable and fully usable.
