About the Item

Rare ‘Hydravion’ or ‘M. Berger’ Armchair reupholstered in red velvet, with deep seating and a reclining backrest. The chair rests on two gilt carved beechwood front legs ending in volutes, and two back saber legs in ebonized wood terminating in bronze sabots. A model designed circa 1917, featured in Ruhlmann’s sketch album introduced by Léon Moussina. His designs are characterized through elegance and purity of form, made with precious materials and expert craftsmanship, combining luxuriousness with modernity.
