About the Item

Extremely rare. Reupholstered in grey fabric. Eddie Harlis, born in Osnabrück in 1928, already dealt intensively with questions of form and construction during his school days. After the Second World War and subsequent captivity, he completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and then studied at the Werkkunstschule Hildesheim. From 1953 he worked as an independent interior architect and designer. He developed a whole range of products for Thonet; other customers included COR, Kaufeld, Profilia and WK. As an interior designer he designed bars, restaurants, cafés and shop interiors. Eddie Harlis died in Mallorca in 1985. Source: Designwissen. Net.
