Introducing a rare and limited set of two ( 2 ) Model 75 Armchairs by Niels Møller for J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik, crafted in the 1960s in Denmark. These stunning armchairs are constructed from solid teak, showcasing the natural beauty of the old-growth wood grain and unique coloration. The curved back and sculptural seat backs add a touch of elegance to the design, while the tapered legs add a sense of lightness and airiness. Featuring new mohair fabric called 'Mombasa Turquoise' by Pierre Frey Paris with vintage geometric shapes this exceptional set of Møller 75's is truly one-of-a-kind. Niels Otto Møller was a Danish furniture designer, known for his modern and functional designs. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and went on to work for various furniture manufacturers, including J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik, where he designed the Model 75 Dining Chairs. J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik was a Danish furniture manufacturer, founded in 1944 by Jorgen Langkilde Møller. The company was known for producing high-quality furniture in the Danish Modern style, using materials such as teak and oak. The company was in operation until the late 1970s. Featuring new mohair fabric called 'Mombasa Turquoise' by Pierre Frey Paris the upholstery is in showroom condition. The seats have been re-strapped with new materials consistent with the original insuring these chairs are ready for a lifetime more of use. The solid Burmese teak frames have been hand-sanded and refinished and show no scratches, gouges or stains whatsoever and have been recoated in a semi-gloss clearcoat in exact accordance with the original factory finish. This extraordinary set of Møller Model 75's is incredibly comfortable, structurally sound and ready for a literal lifetime more of use.
