Pair of recently restored white and green rattan director’s chairs. Made in Vietnam. The white enamel paint finish looks new. The white and green canvas slings also look bright and clean, good as new. The rattan chairs have a lovely coastal vibe. They do collapse like typical directors chairs, making them easy to store if needed. Consider completing your coastal arrangement with our McGuire wheat sheaf coffee table or Ficks Reed furniture (sold separately).
An engaging pair of vintage director’s chairs, these white rattan beauties with lime green canvas slings offer a perfect marriage of form, function, and spirited style.
Restored with care, the frames are constructed of solid rattan, evenly enameled in a fresh white finish that revives their coastal character. The slings, made of crisp lime green canvas, are new — taut, clean, and vibrant — bringing a lively contrast that enlivens every curve of the chair. The director’s design allows each piece to fold down compactly, offering portability and ease of storage without compromising its structural integrity or aesthetic purity.
These chairs were crafted in Vietnam and bear all the hallmarks of skilled mid-century rattan furniture: graceful curvature, an open airy weave, and a durable yet lightweight build. Their condition is excellent; any minor imperfections are superficial, stemming from vintage material and gentle aging rather than damage — these subtle signs of life only affirm authenticity.

Ficks Reed Far Horizons rattan barrel chair with matching side table. This set dates from the 1950s and has been updated with a new custom made tropical pattern seat cushion along with two custom throw pillows for the back. The chair is comfortable with or without the cushions. Each of the custom made throw pillows are reversible. One side is a kiwi green vinyl, the opposite is slightly lighter green fabric. The end table features its original white tile top with Asian inspired emblems on top. Sold as a set.
