About the Item

This rare set of four armchairs was designed by Henning (Henry) Kjærnulf and produced by EG Møbler in Denmark during the 1960s. Part of the designer’s celebrated Razorblade series, the chairs showcase a refined balance of bold form and organic elegance. Complete matching sets of four are particularly difficult to source, which makes the present offering especially rare. Crafted entirely in solid oak, the design is defined by a sculptural backrest carved in a blade-inspired profile, with subtle undulations that lend the piece its distinctive character. Striking carved details extend to the legs and stiles, enhancing the expressive quality of the silhouette. With their strong presence and harmonious proportions, the armchairs are as captivating from the back and sides as they are from the front, making them ideal for placement in the center of a room. The set has been fully restored: the oak frames refreshed while preserving their warm patina, and the seats newly upholstered in an ivory/light cream bouclé jacquard fabric from Nobilis Paris, with a rich, tactile texture.
