About the Item

A current production armchair by Susan Osborne, made in the English tradition of deep-seated upholstered furniture established by Howard Sons in the 19th century. Comfortable, practical and compact, this charming “Baby Howard” armchair - small-scale re-editions inspired by the iconic Howard Sons silhouette provide the comfort of the traditional with less impact on space. The instantly recognisable Howard style: softly scrolled arms, a generous feather-down cushion, with legs on brass castors. This model would look ideal with a skirt. The relaxed English country-house look make the perfect addition to bedrooms, library corners, or smaller drawing rooms where the full-size Howard would overwhelm the space. Crafted with traditional upholstery methods, including a hand-built beech wood frame and supportive hand tied coil-sprung seat. The loose cushions are down filled for a naturally lived-in softness. Price quoted is exclusive of fabric. The 'Baby Howard' can be upholstered if it suits - please enquire for quotation. A single one requires 7 meter fabric; or as a pair for 14 meter fabric. Priced individually at £3,800; available to order in a single or pairs. A pair is available at £7,600.
