About the Item
An established model from our current production by Susan Osbourne, this small-scale library armchair is made in the Georgian and Regency tradition, drawing on early 19th-century English reading chairs designed for comfort and extended sitting.
The design features a gently shaped back and a deep, supportive seat with a slightly reclined profile and well-proportioned arms. It is raised on turned front legs with plain rear legs, a beautiful and characteristic detail of the period.
The beechwood frame retains its traditional upholstery structure. This example is shown upholstered in “La Danse”, an Italian jacquard woven upholstery textile with a graphic geometric motif, selected to demonstrate the chair’s adaptability to both classical and contemporary interiors.
The chair may also be ordered without fabric, supplied in calico and ready for final upholstery in the client’s fabric of choice. Please enquire for made-to-order options (4 - 4.5 meters fabric required for upholstery)
