About the Item
An established design from our current production, the ‘London Library Armchair’ by Susan Osbourne is made in the Georgian tradition.
With a gently shaped back and deep, comfortable seat, the form follows established late Georgian and Regency models, intended for prolonged comfort, with a slightly reclined profile and supportive arms.
Raised on turned front legs with plain rear legs, the chair presents a beautiful and characteristic example of the period. The beechwood frame retains its traditional upholstery structure and is currently covered in a calico foundation, ready for final upholstery in the fabric of choice. Generous proportions and balanced scale make it particularly well suited to use in a library, study, or fireside setting.
