About the Item

Tropicalia armchairs by Patricia Urquiola. Four small armchairs from the Tropicalia series designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso. The small armchair features a tubular steel frame that acts as a framework for a weave of technopolymer wires. This version featuring contrasting green and red colors is called JUGLE. The Tropicalia series was designed and produced in 2008, to date it is still in production with different color variants. Colorful and brightly styled these armchairs are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. Our four armchairs are the first series and are in excellent conservation and structural condition. Three have no defects, one has a small break in a wire, which does not affect its structure and can be fixed upon request. Patricia Urquiola is a Spanish designer who finished her architectural studies at the Milan Polytechnic, graduating in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni. He worked alongside Vico Magistretti until he opened his own studio in 2001. He designs for the biggest national and international furniture houses such as Kartell, Cassina, B&B, DePadova and many others.
