About the Item

Two Italian walnut armchairs from the early 19th century with pierced splats, wraparound backs and new upholstery, priced and sold individually. Each of these Italian walnut armchairs features an exquisite wraparound back, adorned with an eye-catching carved splat. The delicately curved arms flank a linen-covered seat, accented by a brass nailhead trim. These arms flow into the front tapered and fluted legs, the back ones being slightly splayed. The warmth of the walnut patina, combined to the elegant lines and exquisite carved décor of these Italian armchairs, circa 1800, will make them an excellent choice for any home, whether placed in a living room, bedroom or office. The dimensions are slightly different for each chair, not noticeable if used as a pair. Each chair is $3,995. The measurements of the second armchair are 21" W x 15.25" D x 28" H (Seat: 17.75" H).
