We are delighted to offer this lovely Colexfax
Fowler floral upholstered Victorian armchair with hand carved show frame
A very good looking and well made chair, this is what's called a show frame, the idea being was a cabinet maker would take a very ornately carved piece like this to an exhibition to show off his skill, clients would then place orders with elements of that chair or in some cases exact copies of it. The frame is a rich warm walnut with a wonderful grain and patina
The upholstery is in good vintage order, its from Colefax
Fowler and is very decorative, it may have the odd little mark here or there but mostly its in fine order. The frame has been checked secured, cleaned waxed and polished from top to bottom
