This is a vintage elbow chair. A Continental, satinwood morning room seat in Biedermeier revival taste, dating to the Art Deco period, circa 1930. Graceful form and striking figuring set this fine chair apart Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Satinwood stocks present fine grain interest Rich caramel hues adorn the beautiful frame A treat of Biedermeier influence, with graceful forms Rolled crest rail above a distinctive tapering back splat Serpentine arms scroll to the knuckle, and raised upon swept supports Drop-in seat cushion with a tasteful silk cotton upholstery Silvery tones to the pattern, set upon a peach coloured ground Standing upon gently tapering legs, gently splayed to the rear This is a superb vintage elbow chair, with a distinctive frame and wonderful colour. Ready to enjoy as is, or easily reupholstered to individual taste. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
