Solid wengé frame with smoked wicker seats.
This chair was handmade in a rural factory 'Gebroeders Jonkers'
est. 1927.
Just after the second W.W. Brothers Jonkers attracted a designer from the 'Amsterdam Institute for Industrial Design' for the New Era.
This was designer Dirk van Sliedregt who started to work for Gebroeders (Bros) Jonkers early 1950's.
One of his first designs, the adjustable wicker armchair model #514 (also in our collection) was on display and awarded on the 'Triennale in Milan' in 1954.
This extreme rare armchair, offered here, is in very good condition. Firm frame with good smoked wicker shell. This chair is ready to be used.
This chair is hard to find in this condition.
