About the Item

Concrete 'Pod' chairs designed by Willy Guhl for Eternit, 1960s. Beautiful patina with a weathered finish (as they are supposed to be), marvellous bulbous 'pod' shape. Willy Guhl was at the forefront of experimenting with shape and form beyond the usual - and was one of the first to play with this composite of concrete (and asbestos - not dangerous). Both have drilled drainage holes, for use outside. Or be daring and have them in your entranceway, your living room, your bedroom... Highly collectible items, this pair is rarely seen available in the UK. See photos for condition - I have left them as is, you can clean the weathered finish but I rather like them as they are.
