About the Item

Early Windsor armchair featuring a gracefully curved backrest with decorative spindles, a pierced central splat, and elegantly shaped armrests – all crafted in yew, a richly grained wood commonly used in early Windsor chairs. The seat and legs are made of elm. Original and in good condition. England, circa 1800–1820.
