About the Item

"Senior" model armchair designed by Marco Zanuso for Arflex in 1951, with new mustard-colored velvet upholstery. Considered an icon of post-war Italian design, the "Senior" represents one of the first applications of foam rubber in the furniture sector, an expression of the innovative collaboration between Zanuso and the Milanese company. The new upholstery enhances the soft and continuous lines of the seat, maintaining its original balance. Excellent overall condition, with recently redone coating. Provenance: private collection.
