About the Item

This backless sofa or settee is from the Swedish Gustavian period with carved details and fluted tapered feet. Please enlarge and examine the close up photos to appreciate the carved details. Note that painted finish was applied later, likely around the 1940's-60's and is now peeling, including the top of arms. Upholstered seat, three large back cushions and two side cushions included. The fabric is worn and dated, buyer may opt to keep or simply re-upholster. Restored, this bench is solid, stable and ready to be used and enjoyed. Seat Height: 18" All scratches, cracks, dings, distress to painted finish and age related separations are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely Swedish bench. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
