About the Item
Oak high back bench with detailed carving. Birds, fruit basket, flowers, winged male figures, and carved flourishes are seen throughout the back.
Note the seat is hinged, creating great storage space for items that need to be discretely tucked away.
Notice in photo of back, that the back rest is also hinged (it is unclear what the purpose was for this).
Restored, strong and stable. The wax finish brings out the dark patina of the aged oak wood. Old cracks are seen throughout (including but not limited to the front, sides, back) , but do not impact the integrity of the bench. Old repairs exist.
All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this impressive carved bench. Slight bow/raised lip to the bench seat but causes no structural issues. Stable to sit on and use.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
