About the Item

This refined French bench was crafted in Provence circa 1920, embodying the graceful elegance of the Louis XV style. Built from solid walnut, the frame features a gently curved silhouette with carved floral and foliate motifs adorning the scalloped apron. The seat is upholstered in new caramel-toned leather and finished with decorative antique brass nailhead trim, lending a tailored and timeless touch. Cabriole legs ending in delicate escargot feet complete the classic provincial profile. The walnut has acquired a warm, lustrous patina over time, accentuating the hand-carved details and natural beauty of the wood. Measuring 34 inches wide by 15 inches deep and 20 inches high, this versatile bench is ideal at the foot of a bed, in an entryway, or as seating in a dressing area.
