About the Item
A rare early pair of Antique Benches in Jacobean style with well turned Bobbin legs and stretchers and highly decorative full surround Gadrooned seat edge. There are fine Scrolled Iron supports that feature a decorative disc lozenge and are held to the base stretchers with bold primitive eye bolts. There are fine Benches were professionally refinished at an earlier time and the finish presents in a timeworn and authentic way. The Benches are sturdy and solid with excellent function and may also be utilized as a pair of Cocktail Tables if so desired.
Dimensions: 62.75” wide by 16.85” deep by 18” high.
Condition: Please see detail photos. Various signs of great age include stable wood splits, losses, scratches, gauges, burns and aging to the iron scroll work which is being mentioned for accuracy as the wear has been ameliorated by the refinishing and the presentation remains exceptional and authentic.
