About the Item

A most elegant French 19th century Louis XVI st. giltwood and green velvet bench. The bench is raised by slender circular tapered fluted legs with fine foliate and ball feet with lovely mottled top caps below block reserves. The frieze displays beautiful fluted and beaded bands with striking mottled and reeded designs leading up each beautifully curved arm at each side. Finished on all sides.
