About the Item

A handsome and high quality French early 19th century Louis XV st. Walnut bench. This attractive bench is raised by six foliate decorated cabriole legs supported on hoof feet. The scallop shaped top caps of each leg flank the carved acanthus leaf central reserve of each arbalest apron. The scrolled arm rests are tastefully decorated with foliate carvings throughout and leave an open space below on both sides.
