Title: Large Antique Solid Oak Farmhouse Benches, Trestle Base and Monastic Style, Circa 1900
Description: Raw authenticity at its finest. These superb solid oak benches, dating back to circa 1900, perfectly embody the timeless "country chic" aesthetic.
With an impressive length of 200 cm (approx. 79 inches), they stand out thanks to their sturdy "trestle" style base with elegant cutouts, typical of monastic or farmhouse furniture of the era. We particularly love the subtle contrast between the structure, which retains its original dark patina and history, and the seat which has been meticulously restored.
The tops have been fully sanded down to reveal the raw blonde grain of the oak, then treated and protected with two coats of clear matte varnish. This restoration ensures a smooth, clean surface ready for daily use, without compromising the antique character of the piece.
Perfect in a large hallway, at the foot of a bed, or accompanying a long dining table, whether contemporary or antique.
