About the Item
An upholstered bench with a light-colored frame having subtle gilt (gold) accents characteristic of Louis XV furniture to enhance the ornate carvings. The overall design emphasizes flowing, serpentine lines and a lighter appearance. The carved apron and leg details incorporate rocaille (shell-like) motifs.
