About the Item
A handsome and high quality pair of French early 19th century Empire st. Mahogany benches. Each bench is raised by curved square legs and supported on paw feet connected by two turned stretchers. The straight aprons are designed with fine mottled edges above and below. The 'S' scrolled armrests on either side are tastefully accompanied by a smooth panel above, leaving the lower section open. The beautifully upholstered seats give an element of color and elegance.
