The deformation of metal through pressure reveals fascinating technical details as well as new visual and tactile qualities.
The Pressure stool and bench are made from aluminum sheets into which a pattern is pressed. On one hand, this pressure hardens the material; on the other, aluminum—usually cold and rigid—takes on a surprisingly soft and inviting appearance. This technique allows for the creation of lightweight seating from aluminum just 2 mm thick.
