About the Item

A handsome set of four Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. circular giltwood benches. The benches are raised by four circular tapered legs ending in topie shape feet, with the upper portion of each leg elegantly decorated with acanthus leaves. Above is the frieze which has a upper and lower mottled band while at the center are clusters of three fluted designs. The frieze is also decorated by a lower central scrolled reserve flanked by the legs. The top is upholstered in a cognac colored leather finished with French nails.
