About the Item

Solid pine bench designed by the danish architects knud friis and elmar moltke nielsen in the 1970s for their own studio friis moltke denmark. Their architectural studio was found in 1954 and was involved in introducing brutalism to denmark throughout the 1960s and 1970s. In general their approach to brutalism was more mild, which can be said of this bench as well. The bench is practical and very robust, completely made of solid pine. Simple and clean design. The bench is in a very good original condition with minimal traces of use.
