19th century French Louis XVI style bergère marquise upholstered armchair in painted wood frame with neoclassical architecture embellished hand-carved foliates, rosettes and tapered and fluted legs. Newly upholstered in floral damask. A classic piece of furniture that has been around for centuries, the bergère marquise was often used in formal settings, France circa 1880s
