About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely original Regency style giltwood famboo chair I have a matching pair of this exact model listed under my other items and then this single one. I also have a pair of later Regency chairs with the original finished listed under my other items A very good looking and collectable occasional chair. This is Edwardian, circa 1910 It has been re-gilded at some point, the frame is famboo which means fake bamboo, at the latter part of the 18th to the early part of the 19th century Chinese furniture started to be imported into England, they’re designs and styles were quickly adopted by our craftsman and mirrored, we were carving bamboo designs in pine and oak Dimensions: Height 81cm seat height 44cm Width 40.5cm Depth 43cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
