About the Item
A single French Louis XVI style bergere chair from the late 1800s to accent any room. This barrel-back lounge chair is made of a solid walnut frame carved to outline the graceful curvature enveloping the seat. It is upholstered inside and out in a burnt-orange striped velvet with a brass nailhead trim and a removable cushion that is in very worn condition and should be updated. Tapered legs elevate the chair off the floor, giving it a sense of lightness that the Louis XVI taste is known for. Be sure to view the detailed images to see the current condition.
