Mahogany Bergère Armchair, Classical / Empire Style, Early 19th Century Elegant bergère armchair crafted from solid mahogany, representing fine European cabinetmaking of the early 19th century. The chair displays a well-balanced, architectural form characteristic of the Classical and early Empire period. The mahogany frame has been professionally restored and finished with traditional French polish, enhancing the depth of colour and the natural grain of the wood. Delicately hand-carved details to the arm supports add refinement and highlight the quality of craftsmanship. The upholstery has been fully restored, maintaining the classical character of the piece. The black fabric with a subtle vertical stripe creates a refined contrast with the warm tone of the mahogany. The seat is comfortable and supportive, making the chair both decorative and practical.
