About the Item
Pair antique French Louis XV painted bergeres ~ armchairs will add a delightful accent to your interior decor, plus surprisingly comfortable occasional seating. Featuring a wraparound seatback that transitions into the armrests, the seatback is fully upholstered to match the seat, all in a durable, earth-toned tapestry fabric. The painted finish has achieved a lovely patina with just the right amount of distressing to accentuate the carved detailing which includes various floral, foliate and shell motifs from the seatback crown to the tips and bases of the armrests, to the apron and beautifully scrolled cabriole legs below. Even the backs are fully upholstered making this pair an excellent choice for placement in the center of the room, if so desired!
