About the Item
Pair Antique French Louis XVI Walnut Upholstered Bergeres ~ Armchairs is the perfect choice for comfortable seating in any room of the home or office. The frames features bold classical contours inspired by the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations that are adeptly carved in the manner of Louis XVI with motifs such as Greek coin and acanthus plumes with beading and fluting accents. The side arms are gracefully contoured and upholstered on both sides, wrapping one with comfort. Tapered and fluted legs provide support. Upholstery is a fine silk Damask with cornflower blue stripes and light gold patterns fastened with brass tacks for a truly timeless look.
