Perfectly imperfect elegant pair of 19th-century French Regency style fauteuils with an intricately carved gilt wood frame with ornate detailing in beautiful craftsmanship with lavish floral and scroll motifs. The chairs are upholstered in natural timeless hand-loom linen.
Wooden back frames are flat - à la reine - and seat rails and back crestings are delicately carved with a central motifs.
Arm supports flair outward with upholstered arm pads - embourrures. The legs, pieds-de-biche or cabriole are out-turned and carved with acanthus at the knees and feet.
