About the Item
A very large pair of giltwood bergeres with a hod shaped back and deeply carved gadrooning beading and fluted legs. These great chairs date from the late 19th up until the 1920s, so we dated them 20s to be on the safe side. They are a very nice scale and could be used as host chairs at a dining table as well as lounge chairs. The upholstery is old and needs to be replaced, we are selling them for the frames only.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading. The gilding has chipped off in areas which is normal. We can always darken the white gesso if you prefer. The fabric has not been replaced and needs replaced.
