About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely pair of original Regency circa 1810 giltwood famboo chairs A very good looking and collectable pair of occasional chairs. These have the original and now distressed giltwood finish, the frames are famboo which means fake bamboo, at the latter part of the 18th to the early part of the 19th century Chinese furniture started to be imported into England, they’re designs and styles were quickly adopted by our craftsman and mirrored, we were carving bamboo designs in pine and oak The patina on these chairs is sublime, it really makes them special and exactly what all serious collectors are looking for Dimensions: Height 84cm seat height 44.5cm Width 41.5cm Depth 44cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
