About the Item

This a lovely quality rare surviving Victorian mahogany and cane library chair. Standing on carved mahogany legs all complete with original brass casters. The cane work is all in tact which is great to see and looks to be original throughout. The chair would benefit from a seat cushion which we can add for an additional cost should you like. The proportions are neat and the details are elegant and not too heavy. Overall condition is very good with no weakness. There is evidence of a historic repair to the front left leg but all solid and sympathetically done. Height 95cm Width 62cm Depth 75cm Depth of seat 50cm Height of seat 41cm
